LOCATION: Information Desk, Visitors Center, Jamestowne, Colonial National Historical Park, Williamsburg, VA. There is a $10.00 fee per adult to enter Jamestown or you may use your Golden Eagle or Golden Age Pass for the National Park System, or annual Jamestown pass. A combined pass may be purchased for Jamestown and Yorktown. Fees are good for 7 days after purchase. On May 9 and August 25, there is no fee for entering the park. You may check the fee at nps.gov
DISTANCE: You can choose between an 6, 11 or 15 km trail, either of which may be walked for credit (there is ONLY one event stamp for these three distances).
START AND FINISH TIMES: Hours of the visitor center are 9 am - 5 PM. Closed Christmas Day and New Years Day.
WALK FEES: Registration is $7.00 per participant for the A award (patch) and IVV credit; B award from previous years is $4.00; IVV credit only is $3.00. There is no fee just to walk the trails all are welcome, but you must carry a start card. There is no pre-registration. A self-addressed envelope will be provided for you to mail the white copy of the start card and your fee to the club. PLEASE PAY BY CHECK made payable to the Peninsula Pathfinders of Virginia.
WALK AWARD: The A-award is a 3 x 4-inch patch designed by one our members showing a ship on the James River.
B Awards: There are a limited number of B awards available.

COURSE DESCRIPTION: Trail rating 1+. The walk trail is along the shoulder of roads in the park area and along dirt paths through the area where the town of Jamestowne was located. Parts of the walk trails are on dirt pathways and may be difficult for wheelchairs. Strollers may be used.

DIRECTIONS: Take I-64 toward Williamsburg to Exit 242A, Rt. 199 West. Drive about 3.4 miles to the second stoplight. At the second stoplight, turn right onto S. Henry Street (Rt. 132). Immediately turn right again and at the bottom of the ramp turn right onto the Colonial Parkway toward Jamestown. Continue on the parkway approximately 7.4 miles until you come to the "gate" area (not a real gate) for the Jamestowne portion of the Colonial National Historical Park. After driving through the gate proceed straight for approximately 1 mile. Turn right at the yield sign and park in the parking lot.
